It has been a long winter here in Ohio. Finally spring’s arrival is slowly making it’s longed awaited appearance. My tulips finally opened this last weekend.
I am amazed I got this shot. The wind was more like a March wind than April. It was like March never really left except for the sunshine.
Even my one hyacinth decided to make a grand show. What I love about hyacinth is their fragrance when you bring them inside. They replace the stuffiness of winter that still lingers. I have seen quite a few robins…
But the sparrows haven’t settled in yet.
The leaves are not out as of yet, but they are getting closer. On some trees you can see the light green haze of tiny new buds ready to burst.
I love spring. I love the seasons. But spring symbolizes rebirth and salvation. It holds forth promise. It saves me from the winter dull drums…the depression of cold endless days. It’s new sweet colors paint away the gray landscapes that way down the soul.
I guess that is why I love spring best of all.
